Sussi Fabric is a beautiful and colorful hand-woven cloth, traditionally made in the Sindh region of Pakistan. This fabric is known for its thin texture and vibrant stripes or checks, often in red, blue, white, green, and other shades. It is made from cotton, silk, or a mixture of both, giving it a soft and shiny look. This fabric has a long history and was even exported to England during the Mughal era, where it was highly popular.
This fabric reflects the rich culture of Sindh. The colors and patterns often represent the seasons, nature, and traditional bridal themes. These fabrics were once made completely by hand, using natural dyes and pure cotton yarn.
